OMG!!! MUD Ultimate (Manhattan) →
This is like me finding a pile of candy wrapped in hundred dollar bills! I’m super stoked that real Ultimate (aka, not the dustbowl Ultimate) has started in NYC! Now, I’ve got to decide between joining an improv group or join an Ultimate league team…
There is also http://nycssc.wordpress.com/ that has an Ultimate league, but I just can’t get excited about a website...

tech nerd alert - why I need ruby 1.8.6
Does it bother anyone else that ruby 1.8.5 apparently has a bug in DateTime.strptime?
In ruby 1.8.6, I can do this
dt = DateTime.strptime('02:23:45', '%H:%M:%S')
In ruby.1.8.5, I get this:
irb(main):003:0> dt = DateTime.strptime('02:23:45', '%H:%M:%S')
ArgumentError: 3 elements of civil date are necessary
